I have never been to Chicago, maybe through a few times.
I had a friend who lived there and he told me about tires freezing to the asphalt and people driving around giving people jump starts in the winter.
He died working in his garage on christmas eve from carbon monoxide poisoning.
No thanks
Because they shoot people regardless of the weather.
They can brag all they want about Chicago being prepared for this, that, & the other & I still wouldn’t live there if they paid me. They would have to be a lot more than just “climate resilient” before I’d suggest anyone live there. I’m not sure how much of that ‘climate resilience” is just talk, either. Maybe when when they actually do something about “crime resilience”, they could say more about it. Years ago, I had an uncle who lived, but he moved to amnother state. Said he he felt he had to as it wan’t safe there anymre, & if I remember right, he had lived & worked there much of his life.
I think that “immunity” to climate change is offset by high crime and murder rates.
