The NFL’s opening week is starting off with a bang, as Netflix is streaming an NFC showdown between the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers.
In an effort to expand its international reach, the NFL sent the Rams and 49ers to Melbourne for the first regular season game in Australia. So far, the crowd at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground has been electric.
Unfortunately, NFL fans are having a tough time streaming the game this Thursday night. With that being said, they’ve been voicing their displeasure on social media.
“Yes Netflix, let’s make it as annoying as possible to find the NFL game on your platform that’s really smart man,” one fan said.

I was down to just watching the Super Bowl with a close friend but he passed away just before covid hit and I’ve been pretty much NFL free since then so it’s been about 6 or 7 years now. Decades ago I watched a lot more. I don’t miss it or any other spectator sports these days. I’ve had my fill.

I opened Netflix and the game broadcast was the home screen. Clicked on it no problem. Not that I watched it, but just wanted to see the score.

There’s more. The local NBC station covered it here. After the game it was quite celebratory. Next thing you know they gotta plug a Colin Kapernick interview. The guy is outta sight and outta mind. No one cares except the button pushers.
