Many, if not most American cars are STILL junk, fifty years after the Japanese wake up call in the auto industry.

They have improved, but still have a long way to go to be competitive, especially now that the Koreans are seriously in the game.

The real problem is our schools, from kindergarten to an engineering degree.

Sad, but true. The other day I was on a website that was discussing car quality.

I went from 2009 Toyota Tacoma to a 2018 Jeep Wrangler.

I love my Jeep and it’s a blast to drive but the quality drop off from the Tacoma is stark to say the least.

Also, as I understand it, any Wrangler built after 2019 isn’t worth having.

I drive a 10 year old domestic vehicle that I have put 185,000 miles on that has not needed any mechanical work done on it besides brakes, tires, oil changes and radiator flush, EXCEPT for a water pump that was actually covered under warranty.
Not junk. I have zero regrets.
