I think Putin is quite sensible. I refuse to see him as a bad guy.

Putin is a pure 19th century throwback alpha-male national leader. Whatever you may think about his politics, he runs his country purely for national power, strategic interest, and defense of his nation.

That's confusing and scary to feminist-beta-male post-modern, woke, western globalist ideologues, particularly in the EU.

No, he runs his country for personal power- even if it is contrary to his nation’s interest. That’s true of anyone who sticks around in government term after term after term, making it their primary vocation.
He’s flush with money he didn’t earn- you don’t get that way by being a patriot, you get that way by being a mobster.
He and Hillary have a lot in common besides a mutual love of women, other people’s natural resources, and furry tigers.

He didn’t say this, anyway, though it would be funny if he did. It sounds more like something Trump would say.
