You aren’t far from wrong. Egginhg a house doesn’t go past a misdemeaner until they cause overe $1000 in damage. Kids may also be cited for trespassing, litering, or disorderly conduct if they stepped onto the property or caused a disturbance.

Normlly, offenders or their parents are ordered to pay for cleaning, power-washing, or repainting the damaged areas. Courts often assign community service, restorative justice programs, or juvenile probation for first-time vandalism offenses.

But if they just threw eggs and not rocks or bullets, a slap on the wrist is normal.
