Wouldn't it be better to seize the tankers and keep the oil?Logically, you're probably right, but you just KNOW that, if we took the tankers, the UN, and international courts, and even domestic judges and courts would insert themselves into the situation and make it as muddled and difficult as possible. Better to sink them and tell the international and domestic critics to go pound sand.

Our ships are pretty busy right now. The loaded tankers are now disabled (not destroyed) and not going anywhere, anyway. The one with the big hits was not loaded.
