How will this affect google earth?? Not in the slightest. Gargal Arth isn't a projection, it's a "spherical" three dimensional mapping.

It won't. Google Earth is a virtual globe, with no distortion. What puzzles me is why they have to make such a big fuss over finding the
correct projection. Aren't there more pressing issues other than maps?
