A couple months ago I gave a blood sample for a genetics mega study (at age 76 I don’t have much to lose). I didn’t have any of the disease markers they were tracking but instead of paying me they did a traits and ancestry breakdown. In addition to brown eyes, can smell asparagus, don’t care for cilantro, I also am not particularly attracted to sugar. Not sure what to do with all this knowledge but there it is. Already knew I was half Italian but did not know I was 10% Persian and 2% Ashkenazi Jew. Like most folks a walking melting pot. Can’t see any grievance grifts I qualify for.
Are they working on a cure for that?
I’ll always choose carbs before sugar. I know they both result in sugar. A choice between potato chips and cake, I’m taking the chips. Pasta before pie.
