Was Gloria Steinem a CIA agent working to overthrow the family?

(LifeSiteNews) — Top feminist Gloria Steinem who died this week at age 92 may have been very different from her carefully cultivated public persona.

While she earned her reputation as the unrivaled leader of the feminist and pro-abortion movements, the connections that lay behind her public career perhaps tell a more complex tale.

There is no question that Steinem was once employed by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). She herself divulged her association with the spy agency in her 2015 memoir.

“She knew she was working for the CIA and said so herself,” LifeSite CEO John-Henry Westen noted in a video on Friday, adding that she defended her work with the CIA by saying, “In my experience, the agency was completely different from its image. It was liberal, nonviolent, and honorable.”

Podcast host Alex Jones suggested that rather than being a casual “operative” working to send young non-communist Americans to overseas youth festivals during the late 1950s through the early 1960s, Steinem remained a “deep, high-level CIA” asset whose mission was to break up the family, to turn women against men, and to train women to be “mind-controlled slaves of the state.”

Perhaps the most startling assertion from Jones about Steinem is that she worked under Paul Ehrlich, the infamous mastermind of the global depopulation movement.

According to Jones, under Ehrlich’s direction, she helped promote the notion that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) should direct television content creators to portray large families in a negative light. Beyond that, Ehrlich and Steinem wanted the government to legislate family size and punish those who have too many kids.

“She was a CIA agent, funded by the Rockefeller Foundation, under Paul Ehrlich as her director at the CIA, to destroy the family, and to turn women against men,” said Jones.

She was “a monster” Jones declared, “with a PR firm – the CIA – behind her to do all this.” By linking Steinem to Ehrlich, Jones has accused her of playing a role in the collapse of western civilization.

Jones offered little in the way of proof of Steinem’s connections to Ehrlich and the far-left organizations in his podcast presentation, but they’re all plausible.

She was working for Satan via one of his subsidiaries, the CIA.

Likely, or a Soviet agent.

I’ve observed that anybody coming from nowhere to being nationally prominent is often a psy-ops.

Working for The CIA? Hu knows. Working to overthrow and undermine families? Undoubtedly.

Very interesting to me because many years ago a retired CIA guy supposedly told a friend that Gloria Steinem was working for the government beginning as a college student. The way it was told, sounded like she was infiltrating leftist groups, not trying to destroy the family.

I didn’t know she mentioned this in 2015, always thought it was best not to spread it while she was alive.

Why did the CIA, specifically, want to overthrow the family?

In 1967, Steinem revealed in an interview with The New York Times that she had worked full time from 1958 until 1962 at the Independent Research Service, which was largely financed by the CIA.

Come on. That’s too rich. It’s like Clinton’s black son. Come up with some evidence before you lay that trip on the gullibles amongst us.

Right, the Brady Bunch was bad, but abortion was good. That is her legacy.

That would mean she started working there at age 24. Couldn’t have been more than a secretary. Maybe a Valerie Palme wannabe?

The Independent Research Service did work with young people, so youth would have been a plus and led to advancement.

I don’t think she was subverting the American family for the CIA. That was later, after she left the Independent Research Service and had been working as a journalist for some years.

The movements of the 60s and 70s brought a lot of people to prominence. Steinem was well-connected enough and attractive enough to be able to use the women’s movement to advance her career.

That must have been when she wasn’t working for Hefner and Playboy.

The CIA front organization in the movie Three Days of the Condor was called the "American Literary Historical Society."

No. She was an agent of Satan. Of course, that may include the CIA by necessity.

Or a honeypot - sent to entrap others, possibly for blackmail like Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.

RE: Three Days of the Condor...

Scene I remember had the targeted researcher Robert Redford barely escaping CIA killers as he lay down and held the stranger Faye Dunnaway close to him and warned her to be completely quiet. “I promise I’m not going to take advantage of you, I just need you to be quiet to help me so two men coming in don’t kill both of us.”
Women in the audience and Dunnaway must have thought “Gee, that’s a shame.”

Its worth asking the question at the point

Is the 3 letter agency here really any better than the enemies they claim to be fighting in our names?
