New Hampshire Senate and House

In 2008, I changed my registration for one day to vote for Obama in the Presidential primary - because I thought he was the one candidate certain to lose to McCain. So take what I say with a grain of salt.

In both the US Senate race (retiring Democrat) and NH CD 1 (Democrat congressman running for Senate) there are opportunities for Republican pickups in a purple-trending blue state. The primary is next week.

The Democratic Senate race features my congressman, Chris Pappas, a Mayor Pete wannabe who has been thought likely to win the nomination against a DSA candidate. He's been leading in the polls for November against King of the RINOs John Sununu, and if nominated I think he will probably win. However, Sununu has been surging in recent polls, and a GOP pickup here is likely if the DSA candidate beats Pappas next week.

In NH CD 1, the seat held now by Pappas, thehre are three candidates, one from AIPAC, one from the Shaheen political dynasty, and a DSA candidate. Either the AIPAC candidate or SHaheen would keep this seat blue, but the DSA candidate, who looks to make the primary race close, would lose to a Republican.

Makes me think of Rush, and his Operation Chaos.

REPUBLICAN TURNOUT IS KEY !!

I once read a study that showed that Democrat turnout is relatively constant.

So *ALL* races are won or lost by GOP turnout.

We need to make people excited for the midterms, to give trymp a veto-prrof majority

Well, the Republican Senate nominee will be John Sununu, King of the RINOs, and the Republican House nominee for NH CD 1 will be one of 4 standard issue Republicans or a MAGA candidate ina. state where MAGA is a loser.

My point was, helping the DSA candidates in the Democratic primary will increase the chances of GOP wins in both races in November.

We’re not smart enough to do that.

Right. And we need more than just negative slogans like “Take a stand against socialism.” We need positive messages.

Such as… ?

I will add this. The drawn-out war with Iran is weakening the resolve of some of my conservative-lite friends. They won’t vote D. But they might not be very motivated to vote R either. Gone fishing instead.

(Don’t shoot the messenger.)

Matters of war are to be resolved in Congress. The War Power of the United States belongs to them.

Don’t apologize that the People are against the Iran war, and that Congress is going to change party control as a result.

That’s how the system is supposed to work.

Just like this is supposed to be a Constitutional website.

Sununu is probably the best pick right now for NH.
I agree that someone NOT backed by Trump is a better pick in NH.
I know my family in NH is backing him.
