Three Steps in the Dark (1953) is a British whodunit mystery that plunges viewers into a chilling country‑house murder where family secrets, betrayal, and intrigue collide. When a cantankerous patriarch’s announcement at a family reunion ends in murder, the web of suspicion tightens around every guest.

Set in the shadowed halls of an English estate, this atmospheric crime thriller unfolds with moody interiors, whispered motives, and a complex cast of heirs and suspects. As tension mounts toward a surprising revelation, the film captures the timeless appeal of an Agatha Christie‑style mystery rooted in suspicion, deception, and psychological suspense.

I love these types of movies.

Checked with my local library to see if it was available in dvd. Sadly, it wasn’t.

I’ll watch it online.
