You are correct. The author, Nancy Flanders, completely missed the point Anna Faris was making, which I don’t agree with. She was referring to the fact that as a male, he would never have to make a “choice”. The part missing from her “analysis”, is that the child is every bit the father’s as the mother’s. That’s not a “luxury”.
She's not talking about the child, she's talking about the condition of your body hosting the child.
