What evidence is there that dinosaurs, other than birds, survived more than 60 million years to interact with hominid species. If there are some surviving large humanoid species wandering around, I am sure they long ago learned to avoid humans.
There is a temple in Indonesia, I believe, that was built around 1200 AD that has stencils of stegasaurus on its door.
I am not saying they were common or widespread
or all of them. I am only saying that there are
indications that man had a level of familiarity
with them.
Also, Africans in the Congo have described an animal that is similar to a brontesaurus. They said the meat is terrible.
