The movie sucked, but it was still fun to go watch it with your high school pals.

I know from the multiple showings of Rocky Horror Picture Show at our local theater, that it, for some reason, appealed to the gay culture. While going to another movie, I would look in at the showing to see why it had such an appeal. The audience was packed and you could tell by the clothing and the hair it was a gay audience. The audience wanted to make it clear to others that they were queer.
