Both of my favorite Tim Curry movies are pirate movies. The first, of course, is "Muppet Treasure Island", where he played Long John Silver.

The second is a movie that I'm wondering if no one but I have ever watched because I've never heard anyone else discuss it ... a time-travel pirate movie ...

I saw Tim Curry as The Pirate King in The Pirates of Penzance. It was one of the few roles I’ve seen him in that I didn’t think went well for him.
