Arabic bookshop puts Mein Kampf on display half mile from synagogue

An Arabic bookshop in London has been accused of anti-Semitism after it was found selling copies of Adolf Hitler's Mein Kampf and displaying them "front and centre" of the store.

The newly opened shop, Aafaq Bookstore on Edgware Road, had multiple copies of the extremist text on a display table this week, just a five-minute walk away from the West London Synagogue.

Featuring a photograph of the Nazi Party leader saluting on its cover, the edition was translated into Arabic and appeared to be published by Aafaq.

In addition to owning the London bookshop, the firm is a publishing and distribution company based in Kuwait.

Elliot Keck, a Conservative councillor, visited the shop on Wednesday night and said: "As councillor for Hyde Park, I'm always interested in checking out new businesses in my patch.

"Imagine my disgust upon going into this new Arabic bookstore on Edgware Road last night only to find them selling multiple copies of Mein Kampf by Adolf Hitler, apparently published themselves.

"I rarely wish ill on a new business, but I hope this one fails, and fails quickly."

Mr Keck added: "What does it say about integration that this bookshop believes this will be a popular book?

"What does it say about anti-Semitism within this community? Remember this is just minutes away from West Central London Synagogue."

Mein Kampf, published in 1925, is Hitler's autobiographical and political manifesto which sets out his racist ideology and extreme anti-Semitism.

I have told many of my close Jewish friends that they should read it. I have. It is a blueprint that is being followed today almost exactly like it did in the 1930’s. And it is scary. One of friends was a Holocaust survivor who enlightened me about the attitudes everyone had back then. They just ignored the signs until it was too late. He was straddled between Ukraine and what became Hungary.

As an American, my reaction would normally be, yeah, it's rude, but so what? Freedom of the press and all that.

But knowing this is the UK, I have to ask what would happen to an English bookstore if they put "Camp of the Saints" and Rushdie's "The Satanic Verses" front and center within sight of a mosque?

Adolf Hitler was an admirer of Islam. He viewed it as an aggressive, militaristic, and disciplinarian religion that was much better suited for the Germanic peoples than Christianity, which Hitler dismissed as an effeminate, weak, meek, and "flabby" religion.

Hitler believed that the Arabs, due to their inherent racial inferiority, would cease to be the standard-bearers of Islam if they had conquered Western and Central Europe. Instead, Hitler believed, it would be the Islamized Germans who would become the leaders of the Islamic Caliphate (similar to the case of the Turks in our real-life timeline), and these Islamized Germans would then go on to conquer the world, spurred on by their fascistic ideology.

Mein Kampf is based on the koran, sunnahs, and hadiths of Islam. Herr Schicklgruber just followed the game plan Mohammed laid out, with a mystic Germanic twist.

The book is now a game plan for the destruction of the West by Islam.
