Tucker Carlson used a highly promoted livestream Wednesday to unveil a 10-point vision for America — defining the worldview of a breakaway MAGA faction increasingly at odds with President Trump.
Why it matters: After vowing last month to "help build a third party," Carlson fueled further speculation this weekend by hosting MAGA dissidents at his home in Maine, where they urged him to run for president in 2028.
The former Fox News host stopped short of a formal launch, instead presenting the manifesto as the foundation for "whatever comes next" — a new political order he said could "find all kinds of expressions."
Zoom in: Carlson said any successor to America's faltering political system should begin with a shared understanding of what the country "should be," which he distilled into 10 points.

I would like to see a reform of “qualified immunity” on any agenda. Public servants should be required to show that they acted in good faith for any claim of immunity. They should not be permitted to claim ignorance of the law or common sense.
Good riddance. Taking out the trash fringies will make it easier for the GOP to win swing voters. The opposite of the DSA scaring off voters who might otherwise vote Democrat.
There is plenty of policy stuff to discuss—we spend a lot of time doing that here.
It is just too easy to attack someone’s motivation when attacking their actual views is more than sufficient.
It is a form of discourse that backfires—even if/when accurate.
If leftists want us dead do we really care which foreign nation is paying them or whether they were molested as children and nobody is paying them?
At some point claimed (and unproven) motivation becomes irrelevant and just muddies the waters.
Extremely wealthy benefactors can provide him with a media platform and exposure to feed his ego.
Trump didn’t promise no wars or no foreign wars.
He promised no more forever wars.
He inherited the Ukraine war, but we aren’t directly involved in that. We’re just providing munitions.
And Iran started the Iran war.
The very first value mentioned was "fair". There are so many conceptions of fairness that we can't agree what it actually means in many cases.
So, it looks attractive at first glance, but it really has no substance.
This third party will be forgotten soon enough—reminds me of these obscure clowns:

“On April 4, 2024, the organization ended its effort to secure ballot access for a Unity ticket for the 2024 United States presidential election.”
They got tons of (at least partly favorable) mass media attention at the time—even though they were an obvious joke.
Enjoy.

Tucker does come from a wealthy family.
However, so do a lot of people who spend more than their income. We all know of examples of rich kids who are literal pieces of crap.
Tucker was the highest paid person at Fox News until he got fired. He was probably making in the $10MM-20MM per year range. Then he suddenly was not.
He started his TCN with an investor from Pakistan. Who he eventually bought out.
My point is he MAY have gotten overextended. He has multiple houses. Kids in private schools, etc. Maybe he has more money than he can ever possibly spend. I REALLY have NO IDEA. I just know he took a SUBSTANTIAL pay cut when Fox fired him. When your income suddenly stops, you look for ways to change that.
I predict this is going nowhere.
His current views are destructive and are wrong, that you seem to agree on. Knowing why is not without value; it goes to the root of the problem and identifies the actual enemy.
Deposing Carslon for his propaganda removes a mouthpiece, not the enemy, in the end one must address the root of the problem.
What does Qatar have to say about this?
You and I probably disagree on which Carlson’s views are wrong.
However I do agree that his Muslim sympathetic comments are kooky at best.
oh gawd, these people’s egos are bigger than their brains. He’s a nobody important in the big scheme of our lives.
No offense, but your understanding of qualified immunity is wrong. Your first and second sentences are inconsistent in that "good faith" would actually permit "ignorance of the law" as a defense because good faith is a subjective standard.
"Good faith" was the standard initially, but it was determined that was too easy a standard so SCOTUS subsequently tightened it. Now, the actual standard is essentially your second sentence.
World’s tallest midget, to use his own words.
Maine?. He caught the Steve King Disease.
tucker who?
MTG got mad at Trump because she felt she should have 24/7 access to the president and BECAUSE HE WOULDN’T ENDORSE HER FOR SENATE. MTG could not win the senate in GEORGIA. She was polling at like 29%.
She is a nasty vile redneck woman that waves Christianity in the faces of all not supporting her while having multiple affairs in her 20+ year marriage. I absolutely cannot stand her type.
Grandstanding showman Thomas Massie could not even win his congressional district in Kentucky. He’s long been a big talker but not a doer. How much legislation did Massie bring forth and get passed in congress in 13+ years? Clearly, he’s full of gas.
Now we know why the former bowtie Tucker had to be muzzled by Fox News. He’s been able to open his mouth and remove all doubt. He’s clueless.
I don’t see a third party gaining traction at this time.
As far as Carlson, he’ll be pissing off his critics and getting attention in the foreseeable future.
Hes gonna play the Ross Perot spoiler.
Imagine if AOC happens to run and gets into office because Tucker played spoiler and split the Republican vote?
