In Kansas, Adam Hamilton is running for Senate.
He used to be a Christian. Now, he’s a Democrat.

It is a damn shame. The Republican party is nonexistant in cohesion.
Here we are, a primary and not much talk. Google the race and all you see is the laughing hyaena queen governess of Virginien. Tried calling the publican party of VA and the call wouldn’t go through as dialed by the stupid phone turnt out tahat google had dropped the last digit in the call button desist.
The search on the senate primary in Va skipped back, except for current event greatness democrat wise queening, to republican controversy in 2012 election.
Someone in the r party need get in gear. the car in d party just shifted gears on yall tech wise just like when caramel steepped in over sleepy joe.
The uniparty primaried Donald Trump what a joke. The people are speaking, now stop the steal so we will be heard.
Mock warner can,t stand another install.

Voted. Sadly, I don’t think my candidate has a chance against Mark Warner, the ‘moderate’ Democrat, but if I don’t vote I can’t complain.

I sure hope this was a fat-fingered, fast comment on a phone. Hard to follow in lots of places.

Have read over the GOP primary ballot in MI, everybody running is unopposed so no choices to make. Have put my Gadsden flag up as a couple others have.

Four candidates actually, Cox dropped out a couple weeks ago, two idiots at the bottom of the choices so that leaves only James who will win easily.

I still see Cox ads frequently so he must have bought these ads much earlier in the campaign.

Also heard on the Ryan Girdusky podcast that James is/was having an affair with a political libtard LOL... We’ll know soon enough.

Silly. It’s an open primary; if the Ds like spoiling our choices please return the failure.

Only two to vote for at the moment, right? Cox dropped long ago. I have yet to make up my mind...

AFAIK you can vote for any of the four but don’t think it going to make much of a difference at this point. Watched the Cox withdrawal video and he said, “There is no way I can win at this point” rather matter-of-factly so it wasn’t about past discretions or money...apparently.

James has name recognition after previous failures, happens all the time across the country, maybe this.

LOL I could write myself in, however if I was discovered doing it I’d be buried alive by my neighbors for stinking up my deep red township.

I voted no on 5 because it gives the legislature a five year free hand to find new taxes to replace lost revenue.

Missouri Amendment 5, on the August 4, 2026 primary ballot, faces significant criticism from opponents who argue it would increase taxes for most Missourians and endanger public education funding.

Financial and Tax Concerns

Net Tax Increase: The Missouri Budget Project estimates that 80% of Missourians would see a net tax increase, with the average resident paying $500 more annually.

Regressive Impact: Because the amendment shifts revenue from income tax to sales tax, it disproportionately burdens lower-income residents, retirees, and those on fixed incomes who already pay little to no state income tax.

Revenue Gap: The state income tax generates $8.5 billion annually. Critics warn that replacing this requires raising the combined sales tax rate to 16% or taxing nearly all services, which may still leave a multi-billion dollar budget hole.

Impact on Public Services

Education Funding: Major school districts, including Kansas City Public Schools, warn the amendment could cause a $1.4 billion statewide loss in education funding, threatening staffing and special education services.
Service Cuts: Opponents, including AARP and the Missouri Catholic Conference, argue that without sufficient replacement revenue, the state would be forced to cut critical services such as healthcare, childcare, and community supports for older adults.

Economic Risk: The measure lacks specific guardrails for inflation or economic downturns, potentially locking Missouri into a risky tax structure that could dampen consumer spending and harm small businesses.
Supporters vs. Critics

Supporters argue the amendment is revenue neutral in the short term and will provide long-term tax relief, particularly for the wealthy, by phasing out the income tax based on revenue growth triggers.

Critics contend the amendment gives the legislature five years to expand sales taxes without a public vote, creating uncertainty and risking a “bait-and-switch” that harms everyday Missourians.
