Thanks. I guess I’m locked out for good. I get this:
Let’s confirm you are a human
Scan code with a phone camera to continue.
Then google Ap store.
That’s beyond my ken. I had to log in a few months ago, but didn’t get anything like that. I wouldn’t have known what to do to get past it. Hopefully, someone else knows what that is and how to deal with it. Or you might try asking an AI what it means and what to do.
On the “scan with your phone” page, is there some small, clickable alternative? Sometimes, they hide it pretty well with tiny font, but there ought to be a way to log in without a phone.
I’ll ask Grok.....
(standing by)....
“Grok advises “borrowing a smartphone temporarily (from a friend, family member, or elsewhere) is the most reliable way to complete the verification, as X’s current anti-bot confirmation is designed around scanning a QR code with a phone.
Other things it says you can try - use a different browser, or clear data or switch networks.
Check for an existing logged-in session using another computer
Wait and retry later.
If those fail, go to the official X Help Center ( help.x.com ) and look for account access, login, or security related forms. Describe the issue and provide account details. Support responses can be slow and are not guaranteed but it is the official channel for a locked or inaccessible account.”
It is sort of like the mark of the beast - if you can't scan it you can't play. I run into that occasionally also. Had to do a work around just to renew my driver's license. I asked them if they are just the govt of smartphone users; they couldn't answer me. It is coming - some day!
