Musk Revives Super PAC, Pledges Major Push to Boost GOP Turnout in Midterms

Elon Musk is reviving his political operation to help Republicans defend their congressional majorities in an election year that has grown increasingly competitive.

Musk is reactivating America PAC, the super PAC that spent more than $260 million helping elect President Donald Trump in 2024, according to people familiar with the plans. The group will focus on door-knocking, digital advertising and direct mail to turn out conservative voters, including many who typically skip midterm elections.

Musk’s representatives have not disclosed a specific dollar figure for the 2026 effort, but given his 2024 spending, which made him the largest individual political donor in a single election cycle in American history, Republican operatives expect a substantial commitment.

The renewed investment gives the GOP a formidable new asset heading into November. GOP super PACs and committees already hold more than a $300 million cash advantage over their Democratic counterparts, a figure that does not include the $400 million sitting in Trump’s MAGA Inc. super PAC.

James Blair, Trump’s senior political adviser, welcomed the return of Musk’s operation. “America PAC was an essential partner for our historic GOTV operation in 2024, and their return for 2026 is a huge boost for Republicans across the country,” Blair said. “We will again outsmart our opponents and ruthlessly execute our mission for the GOP between now and Election Day.”

America PAC knocked on more than 10 million doors across swing states during the 2024 campaign. By concentrating on turnout operations again this cycle, the group will allow other Republican organizations to direct more of their spending toward television advertising, according to people close to the plans. Musk’s political adviser, Chris Young, will lead the effort, which is expected to coordinate closely with the rest of the party’s political infrastructure.

America PAC spokesperson Andrew Romeo said the group is ready to contribute again to what he described as a well built Republican operation. “The president’s political team and the rest of the GOP apparatus have built a top-notch operation that will put Republicans in a strong position to buck history and retain control of Congress this fall, and we’re excited to again be part of the team,” Romeo said.

Oh, we vote just fine. Dims don’t have to show up that much because of ballot fraud.

Republican television advertising is so deeply pathetic and unresponsive, it hurts me to look at it.

You’d think republicans would be knocking down the door of the guy who ran the LA mayor’s campaign for the republican candidate. that campaign was great.

But so far I don’t read stories about that guy getting major deals.

Yeah, there are only about 30 districts that are actually in play.

**Republicans going door-to-door have to worry a lot more about getting attacked compared to Democrats doing the same.**
We should knock only on the doors of republicans who don’t vote. The county GOP should have a listing.

** I got door-knocked by the DNC already. Ignored him, but the GOP have been pretty lazy on this front.**
2016. Reno, Nevada. On 5 occasions people knocked on my door-Hillary supporters. We don’t do that. Those people had to be getting paid. Probably from Calif. too.

Thank you, Elon. Many in the GOP don’t deserve it, but Lord knows we need all the help we can get to hang on to the nearly-inconsequential majorities in the House and Senate.

It’s the only (slim) hope we have to get the Save Act and avoid 2 years of impeachment circus.

I think Pratt and the new gas tax might be the reason 10 districts in Cali or more flip red. They might be the sole reason the Rs keep the house. No one is considering Cali is flipping back to red and it is.

If any money comes to GA it will be interesting to whom. Faith & Freedom and TPUSA have some concept of ‘TURNOUT’. Kemp’s organization had some concept of ‘TURNOUT’. Who else in GA understands “TURNOUT”? Probably neither McKoon nor GRA.

A ground game seems needed to Win GA, both for Gov and for Congress in swing districts and for legislature. In a good ground game, the ground game worker pitches the specific issue that motivates the specific voter. Sometimes that is 2A or Life. But in this election it is many splintered.

BTW: With Kemp not on the ballot, what will the people in his organization do?
