Use a .22LR Ruger Mark IV pistol; but watch out for collateral damage. Those suckers are fast when under fire.
Best solution is adhesive traps concealed in perforated metal containers. If one isn’t protected, dog or car will try to lick it and get caught.
I have one of those pistols. Horrible stiff trigger.
