Yep… VALID reasons to not support this movie.
Yep, I heard they were pushing diversity , by having a black woman as Helen of Troy, and that transgender girl playing the part of a boy.
I’ve heard that the people who run the Oscars have established diversity criteria, as being important to be considered for Oscars. Is this true? Do they get brownie points, because they have a transgender?
But then, is the transgender girl supposed to be playing the part of a transgender in the story, or is it just that we all know that she is transgender in real life? And that’s why we are supposed to be happy about her role in this movie?
I have not researched the Oscar criteria, but I have heard that they do have diversity standards now.
