If this interview is released NOW, the media will try to surpress it, but it will get play... and attention and have an impact now.
Biden literally doddering and unable to answer basic questions an messing up time lines etc...
However, 4 months from now, going back to it, and reminding people of it will not have the same impact, because it will be old news.
Timing is everything. Maximum impact is when it is first released... if it gets released now, it will be old news by October/November.
Like I said, as much as I don’t like saying it, if gas is still this high in September, the Dems will have a good night in November, in spite of themselves.
Of course, if the Iranian regime falls, or is completely neutered, and gas prices are back in the $2 range, and can demonstrably show that the world is safer because of it, then democrats will lose the biggest thing helping them at the moment.
Because if they win in November it won’t be because folks like their policies, or want what they are selling, it will simply be because folks are disappointed with how the GOP/Trump have handled things.
This it the reality of most elections in the US today.
Reality is, Trump and by association the GOP own Iran and its impact, and gas prices, are a direct result of these actions. Yes, there is no doubt that an neutered Iran makes a safer and better world. This is a regime that should have never happened, its the gift Jimmy Carter gave the world and keeps on giving, and it will never stop as long as the current regime is in power.
They either need completely gone or completely neutered, because they will sow chaos at any opportunity. It’s what they do.
The US is NOT going to put major boots on the ground, which means a full overthrow is not likely unless the people of Iran rise up.. but currently, at least officially neither the US or others are willing to arm, and back up any resistance/civil war. Make no mistake, should that happen it is unlikely it would be bloodless... If it goes there it will be barbaric, this regime is not going to go away peacefully and it has a lot of true believers who will die happily to defend it.
A coalition of Gulf States willing to say enough is enough, and stand up to the bully of the middle east might be possible, but arab militaries are notoriously bad.. so even with a coalition were to be built, and decided to do something about Iran, its hard to see it being successful, at least in any sort of short time frame.
We’ll see how this all plays out, I don’t know the answers, but I do know, if gas is still $4+ dollars a gallon come October, dems will almost certainly have a good night, in spite of being totally unpopular, particularly on policy.
