Wasn’t husband under investigation for Medicaid fraud?
Dr. Emmanuel “Manny” Hostin, an orthopedic surgeon and husband of The View co-host Sunny Hostin, was named in a massive civil federal lawsuit alleging insurance fraud and kickbacks.
However, the insurer, American Transit Insurance Co., voluntarily withdrew the suit against him and his practice and issued a formal apology.
The federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) lawsuit, filed in New York in late 2024, alleged that Dr. Hostin and nearly 200 other defendants engaged in fraudulent billing and performed unnecessary arthroscopic surgeries.
Dr. Hostin strongly denied the allegations, his legal team condemned the suit as meritless, and the case was dismissed in his favor in July 2025.
