So how exactly does the FCC regulate the broadcast networks? What actual power do they have to do that? What actions do they have the authority to take? Canceling licenses of affiliates for not airing programming they aren’t being given seems rather harsh.
FCC can fine networks if the networks if the violate regulations for the public interest onbilgations. I would say censoring the presidential speech on a matter of national security does just that. They have a history or=f partisan activities which they can get in trouble for
