I’m old enough to remember in the 80s and early 90s that they blamed the homeless drug abuser problem on unfortunate vets whose heads were screwed up by the ‘criminal police action’ coupled with addiction from rampant drug use in Viet Nam. Then investigative journalism proved that less than 0.01% of drug abusers on the street who claimed tbey were Viet Nam vets actually were and it was all lies to justify their situation and get sympathy. Investigative journalism showed Viet Nam vets were among the most productive members of society whose only real issues were access to good VA benefits. Full stop.

WTF does that even mean? Not trying to argue with you - I just don’t have the remotest clue what assertion you’re trying to make.

The headline gets me. May I humbly suggest (plea) that people give what they can to T2T and others - they will help vets more than gov’t. And our help should come from out hearts, not gov’t programs. Let’s just do right for any vet in need.
