Note: the real bridge is in Kanchanaburi, Thailand and still runs trains across it and is a popular tourist attraction.
Some steel was bent in WWII Allied bombing in 1945 but the bridge was repaired later.
IIRC, the span that’s used for trains today is a hundred yards or so from the original span, which is still destroyed. There’s a war museum there which is interesting to see if you get the chance to go.
