I am very familiar with an arterial dissection.
My daughter had a stroke caused by a dissection in her brain stem. She was in ICU for a week, then rehab hospital for two weeks. Her arteries healed themselves based on a high protein diet. Meat and lots of meat.

She went back to work as a nurse 6 months later.
