Governments have refused to respect the wishes of their citizens.
As simmering conflicts between Western citizens and Western governments boil over the next few years, we must never forget how we got to this point: Elected officials and irremovable bureaucrats occupying permanent administrative roles have refused to respect the wishes of the citizens whom they ostensibly represent and serve.
From the United States to the United Kingdom, citizens have demanded that their governments secure national borders and end the steady flow of illegal aliens into their communities. From France, the Netherlands, and Germany to Australia and New Zealand, citizens have demanded that their governments arrest and remove Islamic immigrants who are guilty of rape, murder, or other violent crimes. With the exception of President Trump’s efforts to enforce immigration law and deport illegal alien criminals (despite formidable resistance from the courts, leftist NGOs, and Establishment politicians from both the Democrat and Republican Parties) in the United States, no Western official has done anything to remedy the scourge of unlawful mass invasion in a deliberate, meaningful, and effective way. Instead, Western governments hide from their citizens the true number of illegal immigrants living among them. Western governments hide from their citizens a full accounting of the crimes committed by foreign nationals who should never have been permitted entry in the first place.
Mass illegal immigration is not a new problem. In the United States, President Ronald Reagan signed the Immigration Reform and Control Act into law in 1986. Defended by both political parties as a way of combating illegal immigration while providing long-term lawbreakers legal status, it effectively awarded millions of foreign nationals amnesty. Legal immigration needs to stopped for 50 years.
The deal was: grant amnesty and Congress and the administrative state would secure the borders against illegal immigration. That did not happen. Amnesty was granted and Congress and the administrative state refused to do what was needed to secure the borders. Illegals still kept streaming through.

The politicians who Continue to do this may deserve something a bit more severe than just prison. After seeing what unlimited immigration does to a country, some still cry out for it. These are the ones(not all are politicians)who need to be leaned on a bit harder than just imprisonment. Not suggesting just what this punishment should be, but by now it should be very evident to all that open borders will surely ruin any country. There are just too many “bad apples” running loose in the world today.
The West used to have open borders in the 1800s. We had the same issues with the native population worrying about the change of character of the country from the new immigrants. But we did not have a Welfare State. What is suicide is an open borders Welfare State. That is absolutely insanely suicidal. Politicians used to tell the lie that immigrants worked and did not go on Welfare. Maybe that was the case 60 or 70 years ago but today’s immigrants go on Welfare. The evidence is overwhelming. Import the world and have your taxpayers pay for them to sit around and collect a check.
No American ever voted for this radical transformation. No politician or government bureaucrat respected American citizens enough to seek their consent.

I agree, but not for letting in the ‘refugees’, but instead for letting women vote. I’ll never forget the airport scenes where they were coming in with fists raised (all fight-aged men) and the women there, greeting them, were saying (or at least thinking), “Welcome to Germany, you poor men, you’re safe now, nothing to worry about anymore”.
Would not be so bad, except they also vote. If our civilization dies, it will be because the men let the women vote in our civilization, but not in the civilizations that defeated us.
It seems to take about 1-2 generations to destroy a culture of freedoms when dealing with muslim and arab cultures. They seem to have one goal and it’s to instill their failed culture replacing new cultures with failed governments. Appears the Brits have let arabs and muslims take away their beautiful cultures. France and America are next in line for destruction if the French and Americans are not careful. Dems are on the move in Europe and the USA.
If this is true, this country is as finished as the UK.
