Many years ago a democrat activists explained the system: he said it cost too much and was too difficult to try to change the minds of American citizens. Especially since many parts of the democrat base didn’t agree with each other on issues.
So instead they analyzed the personalities and weaknesses of top people in the media and changed THEIR minds. They let the press work for them. Cheaper and easier.
Send downsized media groups like newspapers and TV who were short on staff and reporters the stories they WANTED to support. That’s the key and the way to fight back Kevin Finn. Identify the nepos - ‘journalists’ who want to prove they have the high skills necessary to move up quickly EVEN without their daddy’s job and pull. That group will open their veins to keep the news packets coming. Hire people to find stories by any means (to hell with ‘journalist ethics’... pay for information if necessary) and deliver the WOW.
Same with older established journalists who don’t have it anymore but want to shine. Feed ‘em stories and give them choices. The more self serving stories in the packet for the ‘journalists’ to reject, the more stories from the packet will be chosen. Stories to reject are always included. Keeps the conscience clean. OUR SIDE NEEDS TO DO THE SAME.
