The Smithsonian went weird and leftist decades ago. I noticed when I used to get their magazine in the 80’s and then decided to drop the subscription. Too sad.

Same here. I once enjoyed it and National Geographic and a few others but not anymore. Right now I don’t subscribe to any magazines either in print or online.

Amen. Smithsonian was great but I gave it up as well as National Geographic for the same reason.

I was at the museum a year ago last May. The exhibit on the Star Spangled Banner was glorious, vastly more impressive since the first time I saw it 25 years ago. I think because they couldn’t get away with doing otherwise. Beyond that it was one tiresome exhibit after another of various put upon groups “telling their stories.” We left in less than an hour
