What's missing from this paragraph is that the power structure of the Democrat party knows far worse shortcomings were going to hit Platner in the fall campaign, so they want him out now.

Indeed. I find it suspicious that the Kik enticements to possible young ladies was so casually glossed over. This creature is more than capable of trying similar tactics across other platforms too.
