We need to turn off their lights
Unless the strikes are over 20 equivalent kilotons of TNT, they really should not be referred to as “powerful strikes”.
The U.S. military should monitor the radio frequencies the IRGC uses to threaten the shippers and launch military attacks not only when a commercial ship is attacked but also whenever Iran issues ANY threat to any ship by radio.
The IRGC is demonstrating the entire purpose of the MOU - delay, delay and delay some more. The MOU is NOT the real agreement. It is only a roadmap to the discussions for an actual peace agreement. The IRGC agenda is to just keep talking and never conclude talking, never get to a final agreement.
Real effect is what we need. Take out all the distillation towers in an Iranian refinery each time a ship is attacked, etc. They don’t have a lot of refining capacity, so, shortly, move on to any significant refined product storage and import terminals, while distillation towers down are kept down as routine policy.
Let’s see how long the mullahs and IRGC can hang on with no refined products.
A significant bonus here is that China still gets their crude, and global oil markets are not disrupted. However, the message to China will be clear. Trump can have fun posting, too: “Don’t make me angry. You wouldn’t like me when I’m angry.”
Mossad should kidnap family of IRGC and hold them hostage. Play dirty.

The question is whether we will so focus...
They won’t care. In fact, the “families” would then be used for propaganda: Sympathy and / or potential glorious martyrdom.
We need a doomsday device to hold Iran at bay. Let me explain, every day I of the tankers going thru the strait is chosen at random to be the trigger vessel. Only we know the vessel that day. If Iran happens to attack that tanker we automatically send a nuke to Tehran. No negotiations. Boom!
Well do it anyway.

I understand the emotion, but, the goal here should be to defeat this regime soundly, to the point of collapse, not play whack-a-mole as we have done in too many of those too long wars you (often correctly) complain about.
