Temperatures could climb to 30 degrees in parts of the country this week, with Met Éireann issuing a weather advisory over expected heatwave conditions.
The weather advisory, which is in place from Wednesday until Tuesday next week, states that daytime maxima will “widely exceed 25 degrees Celsius with values climbing to the high 20s or even low 30s in places from Friday”.
It adds that possible tropical nights may occur in places this weekend and that there is also the chance of some thunderstorms later this week.
Nationally, there will be a lot of dry, settled weather with plenty of sunshine throughout the week and into next weekend.
A heatwave is technically five consecutive days of 25 degrees and over and it is expected some areas will meet that criteria in the week ahead. …

Where I am I WISH it was only 86°
That was close to the low this morning. And the power was out all night due to a storm.
Yep. Where I am i took off on a bike ride yesterday morning at daybreak and it was already 79°.
Ended up somewhere in the 90s.
86.....what a joke.
111F today in Phoenix, 114F later in the week. 86F is almost sweater weather around here.

Run for the caves... It’s typically called ‘summer’... And in Ireland and the UK it last about week or two each year... So enjoy it while you can... Or run to your nearest cave like the global warming loons do.
