I’m not arguing about what they did in the past. I am basically saying since 2014, they’ve been average, and certainly not up to the standards of those great teams.
France is the best at it right now. Whatever they're doing, it's working.

They are better than most of the top soccer countries on earth.
For example England didn't win even a single match at group stages in 2014 World Cup, losing 2 and only managing a 0-0 draw with pathetic Costa Rica.
