Archie, Caroll O’Connor, was a liberal but I saw him defend Richard Nixon against one of the Harvard liberals, John Kenneth Galbraith, on Merv Griffin. Also, it was a howler when Larry David went on Skip Gates’ show to find out about his ancestors and his great-grandfather had been an officer in the Confederate Army! Larry David was disconsolate.
