Oh geez...this crap won’t work. Russia can’t even take out Ukraine, even though Ukraine had older weapons systems at first, then had to field several non-compatible systems from the West while conducting a war.

Other than Nukes, Russia is not to be feared for now.

In a practical sense, how useful are Russia’s nuclear weapons to Russia? How does having them advance it’s goals? I’m beginning to rethink the degree of advantage in life that nuclear weapons afford today’s countries what have them in stock. Thoughts? Are Russia’s nuclear weapons expensive for it to maintain in good working order? Does Russia have the means and forethought to keep them in working order? At what point of decline would keeping them working not be enough of a priority to do so for them?
And finally, what is required to push them to that point of decline where they have more urgent to-do’s than maintaining nukes?
