Paramedics responded to a ‘cardiac arrest’ at Mitch McConnell’s home on day of hospitalization

Paramedics conducted CPR on an individual experiencing a “cardiac arrest” at a known address for Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., on the day his office disclosed he had been hospitalized, according to police scanner audio obtained by NBC News.

According to the audio, the first medic on the scene at the address began performing CPR, according to the dispatchers, and was then joined by an additional EMS team at the same address.

This law effectively reverses the previous system established in 2021, which allowed the governor to appoint a replacement from a list of three nominees provided by the departing senator’s political party

Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear is very vocal about not appointing a Republican to replace him, despite state law. He promised to oppose it, and there’s uncertainty....may be why he’s not retired.
