The focus of this article is on Digwa - the criminal - lying to police. And in other news, rain is wet. Of course a criminal is going to lie to police. Big f’ing deal. This is misdirection. Focusing the story on Digwa and not the real outrage - the fact that the police did not treat Digwa like a lying criminal. In any other situation, the police would see right through Digwa’s lies and treat him like a criminal. Not a victim.
