Brian and Jen Wagner got into a verbal spat with the Somali family in the suburb of Shakopee, Minnesota, this week.
The family claimed they were accosted out of the blue while looking through the neighborhood, with video showing Brian Wagner told them: 'Nobody wants you here.'
'Not a single person here wants you,' he added, the footage shows. 'I can smell you from here.'
He then appeared to reference ongoing fraud investigations in Minnesota that have been connected to the Somali community, as he questioned: 'Where’d you get your money for the house? All you do is steal.'
A woman filming the hostile encounter then fired back: 'Worry about your own money. You're sad as f***.'
'Oh my god get a petition or something. Why are you guys so worried? Why are you so oppressed? Nobody bothered you guys, you guys decide to be in people’s business,' she said.
After the footage circulated across social media and sparked backlash from Minnesota politicians, the Wagners said through their attorney that the video was taken out of context and insisted they were not racist.

It always struck me a bot odd that a bunch of people from a country that’s on the equator would move to Minnesota. Then when we started to see the amount of fraud and tax dollars going to them with the consent of the Democrats there, it all started to make sense.

BINGO!! Often what is seen as racism is actually a commentary on a culture and their character. Every race has a few rotten apples, which is a reflection of the character of those rotten apples, not necessarily the race.
I don’t blame them at all. We’re leaving our neighborhood for the same reasons. Our whole area is being taken over by Asians, muslims and Hispanic illegals. The crime is becoming rampant.

My son in law did a year in Somalia not too long ago.
I asked him what he thought of all of this stuff in MN. He told me that because the government in Somalia is so corrupt, it is just normal for everyone not to trust them, and to steal from them whenever possible. It is just the way they have lived for ever. Not recently...forever.
So when these people migrate to the US, they just do what they have always done.
I don’t offer this as an excuse. But rather an explanation and an observation. What we are missing in the past 40 years or so is the application of “the melting pot” aspect of this country. Yes, we have always had immigrants. But those immigrants worked for a generation to “fit in.” In my community we had large influxes of Irish in the late 1800s. The Polish and Italians came in the early 20th Century. The Vietnamese came in the mid 70s.
But in each of those migrations there was a concerted effort to speak the language, educate the children in public schools, and become part of the United States. Within a short time, the younger immigrants and the first generation were working side by side without many incidents.
The only places you would see them retain their culture was in their churches and their organized crime.
In my last job before retirement I was working in healthcare with a whole lot of Central American immigrants (in service/support roles—all of the clinical folks were Indian!). Some of these people were in their third generation in the US. Their home tongue was still Spanish. Their accents, after three generations in New England, were still so thick that it was almost impossible to communicate in English.
We need to go back to driving home the concept of a “melting pot” into a common American culture. This tribalism BS has to end. Or we will just be tribes.
