Why do we have so many stupid Republicans?

Not when you recognize social security is a very poorly preforming annuity that you were forced to buy with pretax dollars. I had one lefty trying to tell me that I was somehow hypocritical if I didn't like socialism and was collecting social security.

That makes about as much sense as saying you are hypocritical if you don't like socialism and you are driving on public roads. Well, h3ll, we paid for the d@mn roads and have just as much right to use them as the socialist fan boys and girls. Maybe even more because we usually paid more!

Medicare even moreso. The costs of hospitalization etc is astronomical. A friend of mine ran up a million dollars on back surgery which was paid by government medicare.

Check what you paid into these programs
compared to what you are getting out of them. This is socialism and its only good until the money runs out. It cost 2.5 trillion in 2025.
