Saw them in Pittsburgh circa 1980 when I was in high school.
Always thought that Alex Lifeson was, and still is, criminally underrated as a guitarist.
And Peart was vastly OVERrated as a songwriter (lyricist, actually).
I think he had enough moments of greatness as a lyricist to overlook some of the lesser works (especially when they moved away from long-form prog rock.)
The moments of greatness, as I see them: Closer to the Heart, Temple of Syrinx, The Trees, Spirit of Radio, Freewill, all of the Moving Pictures album, (OK, maybe not YYZ ;-) ), most of Signals, Afterimage, Red Sector A, Enemy Within, Manhattan Project, Time Stand Still, Turn the Page, Dreamline, Roll the Bones (the rap part is pretty silly, but compared to most rap it's genius.)
