I lved in San Diego for a few years. When big earthquake hit, I immediately went to the zoo and so did many other people. We talked to the animals who were frightened, especially the monkeys. Seemed to help. World’s cutes baby rhino too.
My own cat was sleeping with me when quake hit, and was frightened for awhile until I calmed her down.
