European Soccer Fans Are Falling In Love With American Culture And It’s The Best Thing On The Internet

Europeans visiting the United States for the World Cup are traveling across the country, leaving many of them awestruck at American culture. Not only are they happy to be here, but many are visiting our best attractions — Buc-ees, Bass Pro Shops, Waffle House, and even Major League Baseball games — rather than the typical tourist destinations.

Anti-Americanism has run rampant in the United States in recent years. These European fans show the world that America and its citizens are more than the propaganda pushed by the corporate media.

Many of them have taken to the internet to show what they’ve found on their visit to the United States. This list compiles some of the best posts from these soccer fans.

1. Freddy visits Bass Pro Shops

Freddy may be the most famous of the European visitors, and for good reason. He’s from Germany and has been touring around the American South. Ever since his plane landed over a week ago, he’s been documenting his experiences learning about America and American culture. Since his account blew up online, football player J.J. Watt sent him to a luxury hotel and bought him gifts.

2. Waffle House at 1 a.m.

Freddy’s journey resonates because it’s immersive. On his trip, he’s had the quintessential American experience — a late-night meal at Waffle House.

3. “Scones and Mushrooms”

Wrong name, but he’s got the right spirit.

4. Steak for breakfast

In America, you can get almost anything for breakfast if you try hard enough.

5. More steak fascination

Steak in the United States is real and easy to find. Compare that with the European Union (EU), which has been cracking down on meat production in the name of environmentalism. Scientific advisors to the EU urged governments to disincentivize eating meat and cut “environmentally harmful” agriculture subsidies.

6. Tweeting at Ron DeSantis

7. National Anthem flyovers

It’s great watching the European mind finally begin to comprehend.

8. Cheering for the USA

The Europeans may be following our soccer team more than us. And they loved the country so much they decided to cheer for the USA!

9. Walmart exploration

I wish we could all feel this way when we entered Walmart.

10. Australians finding Outback Steakhouse.

It may not be the most authentic Australian cuisine, but our visitors weren’t complaining.

11. Rodeo

The city of Fort Worth, Texas, invited the Czech national team to visit the Stockyards district. While there, the team visited a traditional rodeo.

12. Embracing Midwestern culture

There’s nothing like continuing a barbecue in the middle of a storm. The Argentina national team is getting the true American experience.

13. Scotland fans meet the police

While some Americans protest against police and federal law enforcement, Scotland fans are posing for photos with them.

It’s wonderful to see non-Americans experiencing the best of this country and loving their time here. With America’s 250th anniversary on the horizon, these Europeans remind us how lucky we are to be here.

I wouldn’t speak for the anti World Cup folks because I’ve enjoyed the games..

But, I also voted in 2024 for obliteration and draining...

And loved the declared invasion and closed border on Day 1 2025..

What I haven’t liked is foreign and domestic enemies living their best lives here when dirt naps should be piling up, and inviting the world when we apparently are under an attack from without and within.

But again, this has been a very weird country at least since 2020/21, like everything has been off and more Psy Ops than reality.

Some had hope the obliteration and draining would be completed by 250, so a real party could be had.

Some didn’t want to see some Coup Co-conspirators living to see birthday 249.

We aren’t at 250 yet.

Maybe we’ll see some dirt naps piling up in the war the govt started in 2016/17.

I love all of this! I’ll bet these tourists are wondering what the American left is on about with their constant complaints about the U.S.

Unrelated: In high school, my mom, a brother and I did a British bus tour and a European bus tour to celebrate our upcoming senior years (though I was only going to be a junior). This happened to be during the “Italia ‘90” World Cup and I was getting ready to be a manager for my high school’s boys’ varsity soccer team that upcoming season. It was incredibly exciting, especially when we were in Italy. Having our hotel windows open (‘cause, of course, there was no central a/c) and hearing fans cheering up and down the street was so much fun. Showing up at school/UIL period with Italia ‘90 merch straight from Europe was priceless; even the head coach was impressed, lol. And let’s face it, I pretty much only wanted to be a soccer manager because my best friend and I were boy crazy. 🤪

I hope our international visitors have the greatest time ever!

In 1990 I was in Zurich, Switzerland. A very cosmopolitan city that had menus in five languages because it is a world banking center.

I ordered a beef steak at a restaurant because I was sick of eating German/Swiss/Austrian food. There was an old man sitting next to us that asked me “what are you eating young man?” I replied steak. Beef steak. He was in his 70s.. I don’t think he had ever seen one before.

European Soccer Fans Are Falling In Love With American Culture And It’s The Best Thing On The Internet

Not trying to be a Debby-Downer, but, most of the world already knows about our culture, but the biggest draw for all the world's people, is that, 'everything's free in America'. We had over 20 million 'coming to America' in the 4 years of Biden. Open up the borders again, and we'll get another 20 million in a couple of years. No soccer games needed.

Great article from one of my favorite sites. I hope they never wander into Kensington in Philly.

European soccer fans suck. The sooner they go back to their tyrannical countries, the better.

Some of that, for sure, but also just amazed at the container sizes. They don’t have room for that in their tiny Euro refrigerators.

As a many times visitor I would say the American people are the best thing about America. These “cultural” things are all over the map for me and well below actual Americans.

There were leftover biscuits from the county GOP breakfast Saturday. I ended up with 4, heated up 2 Sunday AM and made sausage sawmill gravy. I never do that, and may have to do this a little more often, maybe monthly. It was easy, and it was GREAT!

I always thought steak and eggs was an Aussie thing that we borrowed. The 1st Marines liked the steak and eggs in Australia while they were there in WWII.

It would be best if our guests would visit a Bible-believing church, gospel-preaching church, too.

“… they lack the attention span to enjoy it…”

That’s a creative way to say that soccer is as boring as it looks, especially compared to real football. So, what’s the over/under for the next soccer match? 3? 2? 1? Or are you going for the classic soccer score of 0-0?

You write: “Anti-Americanism has run rampant in the United States”

No it hasn’t. Anti-Americanism has run rampant in the MSM, Universities and NGOs. That is a very small part of America.”

Hammer hits nail.

Notice that what they’re impressed with are all things the left attacks? I watched a video where an English girl was in a restaurant and commented to the waitress that “America is awesome” The waitress (likely having borrowed $100k to be brainwashed into leftism) quickly disagreed. And asked her, “Are you being sarcastic?” The English woman was throughly confused.
