I don’t understand meal kits where you have to do the prep.
Why not just buy groceries?
Hello Fresh could get the groceries in just the right sizes for the meals involved. Maybe you could get them by shopping around, probably cheaper to buy the larger size rather than pay HF for the convenience.
The preparation instructions were very helpful, particularly for someone not too familiar with cooking. They told you what order to prepare and cook everything so that everything was ready at the same time and done most efficiently. It did make for a frenzied half an hour or so.
As someone pointed out upthread, there are other food prep companies out there. Maybe we’ll start seeing ads for them on conservative programs, in addition to the ones for long-term shelf stable provisions.
