New York City was a picture of pandemonium on Saturday night as the Knicks' NBA Championship celebrations descended into bloody violence and a teenager was shot.
Across the city, riot police were deployed to quell the madness and videos showed the party turning ugly in Times Square as fans literally ripped apart a school bus while the driver begged them to stop.
At around 2am, a 17-year-old boy was shot in the left foot at 42nd St and Broadway, according to details from the NYPD. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital in a stable condition.
In Brooklyn, meanwhile, a 44-year-old man was fatally shot and killed near Prospect Park at 11:40pm - just minutes after the Knicks had won - but it is unclear if that was related to the Knicks' celebrations.
Officers responded to a 911 call outside 101 Lincoln Road, where they found Emanuel Spencer with multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. No arrests have been made.
In Midtown Manhattan, meanwhile, videos showed cops fighting with revelers as thousands of the Big Apple's raucous citizens invaded the streets to celebrate the Knicks' first NBA Championship in 53 years.

New York, New York, the place so nice they named it twice! H/t David Letterman
Yea, Sportsball Teams!
If I ever find myself in NYC ever again, something has gone horribly wrong.
Sounds exciting.
Go a head bite the Big Apple, don’t mind the maggots. — Rolling Stones.
Winning team should be on the hook for the damage, lol, as if.
Are there any normal people left there?
At this point, there’s more maggots than apple.
> fans literally ripped apart a school bus while the driver begged them to stop <
I guess it’s a minor point. But I wonder what a school bus was doing there.
And I hope it wasn’t one of those fancy, new EV school buses. We can’t save Mother Erf without them.

Were the rioters sent home on the free buses?
Imagine if the Knicks had lost..
“Are there any normal people left there?”
It’s doubtful, but I’m not going there to find out!
Mobs are crazy. I avoid large crowds like a plague. Admittedly I went to four Trump rallies. But I judged them as a low risk venue.
Total chaos? In New York?
How are The Warriors doing? Did they make it back to Coney Island?
Childish booschidt. Chaos and destruction by jackasses who act like another Georgie Floyd died from an overdose. Grown kids. It’s just a forkin basketball game. GET A JOB!
“I guess it’s a minor point. But I wonder what a school bus was doing there.”
My guess is some Honor Roll kids got to go see the game because their principal was proud of their work. Now their bus is not only destroyed but they get to see what happens to the kids in the special class when they grow up.
