The World Cup soccer matches, held in various American cities, are providing not only economic opportunities but, for at least some Europeans, cultural revelations. There’s substantial truth to the old saw that Europeans will never forgive us for saving them in WWII. We’re the unsophisticated, arrogant, ugly Americans they love to disparage and hate. Americans, and particularly the southern variety, are nearly beneath contempt, though our dollars aren’t.
But for at least one German soccer fan traveling across the South, America and Americans have been a pleasant surprise. He has been tweeting his surprise and delight, and it’s a useful reminder just how good, unique, and amazing we really are and how very much we take for granted.
This German landed in the United States for some World Cup soccer and has been live-tweeting his experience.

Which is fine. I wouldn't import Europeans though. Tories from the UK will end up voting for the Democratic Party here in USA. It's way too difficult to "deprogram" them once they arrive in this country.
So we should encourage Cubans and Afrikaners to emigrate instead. Otherwise, we should have zero immigration for the next 50 years.

Relative to shooting in the UK where I lived and worked for several years it was almost impossible. My next door neighbor was a Thames Valley officer. I asked him what I would need to do to have a weapon. He smiled.
1. I would need to belong to a gun club.
2. I would need a background check.
3. If I passed I would be given authorization to purchase a pistol.
4. The pistol would be kept under lock and key at the gun club.
5. I would be given permission to purchase cartridges which would be kept under lock and key at the gun club.
