Editing the genes of a human embryo remains highly controversial, particularly after Chinese scientist He Jiankui shocked the world eight years ago by doing just that using the popular gene-editing technique CRISPR — and then allowing the embryos to be carried to term and born.
Proponents say the tech could allow us to treat diseases in powerful new ways, while critics liken it to eugenics, arguing it could set a dangerous precedent by allowing parents to select certain desirable traits.
It should therefore come to no surprise that the most recent attempt to edit human zygotes, embryos at their earliest single-cell stage, has once again fueled controversy. As detailed in a yet-to-be-peer-reviewed paper, a team led by Columbia University geneticist Dieter Egli used a technique called base editing, essentially editing a single strand of DNA, to edit two genomic sites.
The goal wasn’t to establish promising new therapeutic or medical treatments, as the scientists noted in their paper. Instead, they attempted to demonstrate that base editing was a viable way of editing sequences of DNA in embryos without risking the damage earlier attempts involving CRISPR have caused.
But as Scientific American reports, the latest research could lay the groundwork for more controversial work, despite the embryos not being carried to term, with pioneering genome‑editing researcher and Alexis Komor, who helped develop CRISPR, telling the publication that the “cat’s out of the bag.”

In Genesis Chapter 6, we see fallen Angels come down and tamper with human DNA and create a new corrupted hybrid race that was later destroyed by God in the flood of Noah. Only Noah and his family were not corrupted.
Later in the Book of Daniel we see where ‘they’ attempt to mingle themselves with the Seed of men:
“And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.” - Daniel 2:43
Jesus tells us that no flesh would be saved alive if he did not return at the time of the end, we see arrogantly Yuval Noah Harari and Anthony Fauci types suggesting tampering with the human genome is a good and desired thing to attempt to do, where they sit in the Temple of God (the human Body) showing themselves they can improve upon Gods creation. This is the anti-Christ spirit manifesting.
Read the fine print, despite people thinking this is visible to all, it may be that it is not, scripture says anti-Christ shows **himself** not necessarily the entire world

No flesh saved alive on the Earth that is not corrupted by the last days power and workings of Satan and his angels, like using a future DNA vaccine to modify what God has created and declared as Good, a completed work.
Satan is attempting to create human Tares among the Wheat.
Jesus said it would again be ‘as in the days of Noah’ at the time the end.
“But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” - Matthew 24:37-39
Getting above 2.1 would be positive, I think....
Its going to happen whether anybody likes it or not. Its almost certainly going to happen in Asia because they have both the technology and the lack of squeamishness about this. I’d prefer they limit it to wiping out out genetic diseases and/or genes that lead to harmful health conditions but you KNOW for a metaphysical certainty people are going to order designer babies....ie tall, smart, attractive, athletic ability, hair color, eye color, etc. My guess is Westerners who are rich enough will flock to such clinics in Asia to order their designer babies and have them implanted (or maybe pay a surrogate to carry the embryo to term).
There is zero doubt in my mind there will be a lucrative market for this and its going to happen.
Little humans will be conceived and most will be unviable. (Massive numbers of humans will die).
For those that live and are born, some will be deformed monsters and will be terminated.
What else can go wrong?
What is the concern with this? Does it matter to others if people have some ability to select traits in their kids or repair harmful traits? Do people think traits will become mandatory or unavailable?
Explain this:
The so called junk dna may be an incredible back up system. dog breeds go back to their original situation in just a few generations. Elephants can go from dwarf to gigantic in history.

I’m not shaking in my boots. While “bad” traits tend to stick out, “desirable” traits are complicated and hidden.
Even the very best eugenics comes from “farmer’s guesses”, that is from farmers who were experienced in cross breeding their animals, so did the obvious with their followers; that is, a strong man would be asked to have a child with a smart woman. Trouble even then was that they were limited to 3 to 4 generations before inbreeding collapse.
Multiply that by people having bizarre ideas of what “desirable” traits mean, and you end up with a mess.
I would assume it would be rich people paying for ultra healthy, ultra smart and athletic and beautiful kids.
Probably get a 30 point iq differential.
Classes decide further as the poor cannot compete.
