To compare Taylor Swift with the likes of Lennon/McCartney, Barry Gibb, Carole King, Stevie Nicks, Bjorn Ulvaeus/Benny Andersson , Roger Hodgson/Rick Davies and Jeff Lynne is sacrilege.
I also include Eric Woolfson of The Alan Parsons Project in the list of great songwriters. He could write a great Prog Rock song but, at the same time, wrote incredibly beautiful songs such as “Old And Wise”, “Time” and “Don’t Answer Me”. I’m a massive fan,

Of course, how can I forget Billy Joel, Elton John/Bernie Taupin and Tuomas Holopainen of Nightwish?
