Then you can always watch a basketball game last 60 seconds when the outcome is decided. Of course you'll miss all the 4 step traveling non calls.

Fantastic response!! Exactly right. There are no time outs in world football / soccer. There is no 'resting'. Once you come off the field, you don't go back on the field. They are great athletes, whether they are uninteresting to you or not.

Incorrect. Today's match had several five-minute "hydration breaks."

There is no 'resting'.

There's lots of resting if you count the time that the players stand around on the pitch

Once you come off the field, you don't go back on the field.

BFD -- That's also the rule in MLB and Rugby Union.

That’s going to change very soon. They already have “hydration breaks”, during each half, when the weather is hot.

I suspect that will become a permanent fixture, to give the networks five minutes of advertising.
